    Guest Speaker - Alan Angel:

Join us for a talk on "Portrait Photography" by Alan Angel FRPS, FMPA

Alan is a committee member for the Northwest Region of the Royal Photographic Society, and a respected photographer who runs photography workshops. He will be giving us an input into portrait photograhy, then will return two weeks later to run a practical workshop.

From his bio on the RPS Website - "I took up photography as a three year old in the 1970's, after being given a camera. Subsequently, I attended evening classes where I was taught  not only how to take photographs, but to develop and print my own work. I was then hooked on photography.

After gaining distinctions in all seven of my City and Guild modules, I achieved LRPS in 1989 and ARPS in 1994. In 1997, I achieved FRPS and FMPA.

I have been the organiser for the NW Monochrome Group for over ten years, arranging numerous events and presentations."

Member's Work Night - Club Events:

Submissions of images taken during previous club nights (model shoots, location shoots, outdoor events and table top sessions) are being encouraged this year but are not mandatory.

Please email your submissions to up to a week prior to the event (30th Oct) to enable Lawry to prepare for the event, and ease IT demands on the night. The requirements for submissions are not as strict as for competitions, as the software used is different. That said, the best image quality will be obtained by matching the native resolution of the projector which is 1024 x 768 pixels.
