Club Competition 2 - "Water":
The theme is "Water" - 71% of the Earth's surface is covered in it, so you should have no shortage of subject matter! Please see the club competition rules page for guidance on sizing, masking, and identifying your images.
Submission date for images as ever is two weeks prior, at the previous club night, June 19th 2017. Prints must be handed to the Competitions Secretary (Ian Sprott).
You may submit digital images to the competition by emailing them (prior to midnight on 19th June) to email@example.com

Location Shoot - Astley Colliery:
Join us for a visit to the Astley Green Pit Head Museum. The location have kindly agreed to open extra hours for us (7pm to 9pm)
As this is a now defunct coal mine, there is a lot of industrial type exhibits to photograph and many of you will recall the images presented to the club during a recent guest speaker session.
There is no entrance fee, all that they ask for is donations to be made by visitors - essential funding to keep the museum alive. The website for the museum has more information.
Trip Advisor reviews for the location are wholly positive.
The address for your Sat Nav is Higher Green Lane, Astley, M29 7JB (just off the East Lancashire Road A580).
Please note the earlier than usual meeting time
There is a pub called The Old Boat House which looks nice just a couple of hundred yards down the road if people want to socialise afterwards.
