Please note the earlier than usual start time. The dawning realisation of the sunset time next week means that a trip to Dunham Massey Park just isn’t practical with sunset at 7:10pm, just 10 minutes after our meeting time, and the deer park closes at dusk. Therefore the committee have discussed a number of city based locations that are more amenable to night shoots and have settled on Liverpool Waterfront, which will be a good location for the sunset, and then as night falls.
We appreciate that we went to Liverpool last year, though we did focus on the museum quarter (albeit I recognise some made their way to the waterfront anyway), but our last scheduled trip to the waterfront was way back in 2013.
In order to give some structure to the evening, and to allow people to arrive at different times, the following schedule will be followed. Any committee members in attendance will stay together and form a nucleus which members can gravitate to if they wish. Members are of course also free to go off and do their own thing and link back in if they wish at the following locations.
7:00pm - Initial meeting time. Next to the Wheel of Liverpool at the side of the M&S Bank Arena (previously the Liverpool Echo Arena)
7:30pm - Tate Gallery Albert Dock
8:00pm - The Museum Of Liverpool (opposite The Port Of Liverpool Building)
8:30pm - Waterfront side of the Royal Liver Building
For those getting the train to Liverpool Lime Street, you would ordinarily get into the Wirral line in the underground and go to James Street, but I think there is a rail replacement bus service on currently so you might as well walk (about 20 mins to the meeting point).
If you are driving, the Q-Park next to Police Headquarters (L1 8LJ attached to John Lewis) is probably the best bet for its location if you want to venture further into the city later on, or the Q-Park for Liverpool One (L1 8LT). You can also park around Albert Dock itself which shouldn’t be too busy on a Monday night (L3 4SL), and may be more practical if you are plan on staying local to the waterfront area.
